**1. What is Jaunt?**

Jaunt is electric bike sharing is a service that allows you to rent electric bicycles on a short-term basis within Sioux Falls City Limits. You can pick up a bike from one location and drop it off at another designated parking area.


**2. How do I rent an electric bike?**

To rent an electric bike, you need to download the Jaunt app, create an account, and add a payment method. Use the app to find and unlock a bike near you, then follow the in-app instructions to start your ride.


**3. Do I need a special license to use an electric bike?**

In Sioux Falls, you do not need a special license to use an electric bike. However, you must adhere to local traffic laws and regulations regarding bike use.


**4. What are the costs associated with renting an electric bike?**

Prices and Rates are subject to change.

30 minute pay as you go: $7.50, time does expire if ride is ended early.
After the initial half hour passes: $6 per half hour within the same ride.

1 Hour Pass: $12 first hour, Unlimited Rides, your time will not expire.
Time can be used all at once or on multiple rides.

Day Pass(10 hours): $45 Unlimited rides, your time will not expire.
Time can be used all at once or on multiple rides.

**5. Are there any safety tips for riding an electric bike?**

Always wear a helmet, follow traffic rules, use bike lanes where available, and stay aware of your surroundings. Familiarize yourself with the bike’s controls before starting your ride.


**6. How do I find and return an electric bike?**

Use the app to locate nearby available bikes. Once you’ve finished your ride, return the bike to a designated parking area as specified by the app. 


**7. What should I do if I encounter a problem with the bike?**

If you experience any issues with the bike, report them through the app immediately. This helps ensure the bike is inspected and repaired if necessary. 


**8. Can I use an electric bike for long trips?**

Electric bikes are generally intended for short to medium trips. For longer journeys, consider checking with the bike-sharing service about their policies or options for extended rentals.


**9. How do I end my ride and avoid extra charges?**

To end your ride, return the bike to a designated parking area before your hour is up. Ensure the bike is locked and follow the app’s instructions to complete the rental process. Extra charges may apply if the bike is not properly returned.


**10. What if the bike runs out of battery during my ride?**

Electric bikes are designed to have sufficient battery life for typical trips. Jaunt bikes will not unlock if they don’t have sufficient power to begin, but power can be depleted over long rides. The app will alert if you are running low. If you do run low on battery, find a nearby parking station to return the bike. You can continue your ride on a different bike without making a new payment as long as you have sufficient time on your ride pass.


**11. Are there any age restrictions for using the bikes?**

Users must be at least 14 years old with guardian permission. Check the service’s terms and conditions for specific age requirements.
